Yes, Apple Pay is available in Latvia.
From Wednesday, June 26, 2019, some “Visa” payment cardholders in Latvia will be able to pay with “Apple Pay” at any contactless terminal in Latvia, according to Evita Bille, the company’s public relations consultant.
Customers can use contactless technology to make quick and convenient transactions in stores, apps, and online with Apple Pay, which was initially activated on the Revolut card.
According to “Visa” representatives, they are unable to comment on whether and when, in addition to “Revolut,” “Apple Pay” will allow the use of payment cards issued by banks and other companies.
Customers in Latvia can pay with Apple Pay in stores, restaurants, taxis, and many other places using iPhone and Apple Watch devices. There is no need to manually enter your card or account information and re-enter shipping and billing information when using Apply Pay in apps or on the web using the Safari browser.
Another Apple Pay purchase requires only a glance or a touch, using Face ID or Touch ID, or a device passcode. Apple Pay is a payment technology that, through contactless technology and Visa tokenization, enables customers to make quick and convenient purchases in stores, apps, and websites.
