Apple Pay is now available in Luxembourg as part of its international expansion. It is a mobile payment solution that offers a contactless payment method in shops and restaurants through NFC technology. Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch and can also work on the web on Mac for purchases on compatible websites.
BGL BNP Paribas currently supports Apple Pay in Luxembourg, but the Luxembourg State and Savings Bank, BCEE, does not yet support it. It is unknown when Apple Pay will be available outside BGL BNP Paribas in Luxembourg.
It is important to note that the setup process for Apple Pay in Hungary and Luxembourg may encounter some difficulties as it is still in progress. Customers can begin the process by accessing the Wallet app if they have a compatible card. With Apple Pay, customers can enjoy a secure payment method without physical contact with payment terminals or cards.
To use Apple Pay in Luxembourg, you must first download the MySodexo Luxembourg app and have an active Sodexo Lunch Pass card.
