You can find your Discover credit card account number by looking at the 16 digits code on the front of your card.
If you have a virtual or digital card, you can check the card number by signing into the card issuing bank's or institution's mobile app.
Discover card number format:
The first digit is known as the Major Industry Identifier (MII). Number 6 represents Merchandising and Banking(Discover).
These are known as the card's Issuer Identification Number (IIN) or Bank Identification Number (BIN), and they help to identify which credit card institution issued the card and which card network it belongs to.
Except for the final digit, the seventh and all remaining digits in a card number indicate the card's individual account. Your account number could be as little as nine digits or as long as twelve.
A checksum is the last digit of a credit card number. It's a code that determines whether or not a credit card is valid. A procedure known as the Luhn Algorithm generates the "check number" or "key".
