Yes, Paypal is available in Ukraine.
PayPal users in Ukraine can now send and receive money from outside and within the country. It’s a move that will most likely make life easier for Ukrainians who receive financial assistance from family and loved ones living abroad. Ukrainians will be able to transfer funds directly to their bank accounts by linking their Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card.
Perhaps most importantly, PayPal is waiving its fees for sending and receiving funds in Ukraine until June 30th, 2022. Traditionally, the payment platform charges a fee for international transactions that begins at 5% and increases depending on your payment method and the region in which your recipient resides.
According to the firm, PayPal users in Ukraine could previously only transfer money globally from their accounts, not receive it.
A new payment system is likely to have a significant impact in Ukraine, where there are few options for sending or receiving money from abroad. Money transfers to Ukraine (or anywhere else) can be pricey.
Every payment platform in Ukraine that serves a global customer base (such as Western Union, MoneyGram, and Remitly) charges an international transaction fee or commission, and exchange rates are frequently unfavorable.
