Home Does Google Pay work in Europe?

Google Pay is now accessible in a large part of mainland Europe that was previously not included in the service. As of today, customers in Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Romania can sign up and add their cards, provided that their payment issuer supports it.
If you live in one of these countries and have an NFC-enabled phone, you may download the app and start adding cards, either through the Google Pay app or a link in your bank’s app, depending on whether your bank participates. Similarly, it may take some time for participating merchants to come on board because, while Google Pay is accepted wherever contact payments are accepted, some businesses are slow to adopt it, so it’s best to carry a backup card, at least for now.
Google Pay will never sell your personal information to a third party or share your transaction history with any other Google service to target advertisements.
