Google Pay has expanded its services to Sweden, among other Nordic countries such as Denmark, Finland, and Norway. It is a mobile payment app that allows users to make payments in stores, on websites, and in apps using their Android devices, smartwatches, or Wear OS smartwatches. With Google Pay, there’s no need to carry your physical cards or enter their details during transactions.
To begin using Google Pay in Sweden, you must first add your payment card to the Google Pay app via OP-mobile or the Google Pay app. After you’ve added your card, you can use Google Pay anywhere you see the contactless symbol, the Google Pay logo, or the Buy with Google Pay button.
In addition, you must be at least 16 years old and have an OP card with a compatible Android device. If you’re under 18, your guardian needs to contact OP Customer Service to confirm your card, and they will be required to verify their identity using their own OP credentials. By meeting these requirements, you can enjoy the convenience and security of Google Pay for your everyday transactions.
