Yes. Apple Pay is now available in Austria. You may now pay with your iPhone and Apple Watch in Austrian retailers.
Apple Pay still expands throughout Europe, with new banks opening in Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Only a few Austrian banks are currently supported. Furthermore, as an Austrian user, having an account with a foreign bank does not operate. Apple Pay is now supported by only Erste Bank und Sparkasse and the online bank N26, according to Apple. Boon takes Apple Pay, although it is not a bank; otherwise, there would be three providers, to begin with.
Other banks and service companies are going to join in the following months. Larger banks, including Raiffeisenbank, Ing-Diba, Oberbank, and Volksbank, have yet to provide available data.
To use Apple Pay in Austria, you must have a credit card. If you meet these criteria, you can use Apple Pay to pay at any Austrian merchant that accepts contactless credit card payments. If you’ve been doing this for a long time in your favorite business around the corner, you’ll be able to do it with the iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch in the future.
