Yes. Apple Pay is accepted on trains and buses throughout the UK. You can easily get around with just your iPhone or Apple Watch and your credit or debit card in Wallet. Unlike other Apple Pay transactions, you don't have to double-tap your iPhone's power button to bring up your Apple Pay-connected card at the terminal, and you don't have to use Touch ID or Face ID to authenticate the ride payment. The same is true for Apple Watch.
You simply tap your iPhone or Apple Watch to the OMNY terminal from the off and lock screen, and your Apple Pay-connected card appears if the payment is successful. Following that, you will receive a digital receipt confirmation. Once you've paid, the terminal screen should display "GO," and you'll be able to pass through the turnstile.
You can use your Apple Watch or iPhone as a card reader just by holding it up.
You should keep the card or device you wish to pay with separate from the rest of your devices or physical cards in order to ensure that you are charged with the correct card when you use a contactless reader.
