To use Apple Pay in Romania, you must complete the following steps:
- Check if your device is eligible to download Apple Pay;
- Attach an accepted card from a card-issuing bank or card-issuing company to the mobile phone or Apple Watch you want to use for payments
- How to add the Apple Pay compatible card differs depending on the type of device the user is using:
- For iPhone mobile devices, simply open the eWallet app and choose the “+” sign to add the card;
- For the Apple Watch, you can open the specific app and select “Wallet & Apple Pay” and then click “Add Credit or Debit Card”;
- For iPad devices, you can go to Settings, then open “Wallet & Apple Pay” and choose “Add Credit or Debit Card”;
- For MacBook Pro, you can use your own Touch ID and go into System Preferences, then select “Wallet & Apple Pay” and choose to add the card you want.
Your Apple card details can be stored in your eWallet, where you can also add other types of cards, such as store cards, boarding passes, movie tickets, or various discount coupons. Once your Apple Pay account is activated, you will be able to access its services in Romania and abroad in physical or online shops or on various mobile applications that support Apple Pay.
