Yes, Apple Pay is available in Slovakia. After several delays, Apple Pay is now available in Slovakia. Slovakia joined the 40 countries that have already launched this contactless payment technology for Apple devices on Wednesday, June 26, 2019
Slovenska Sporitelna, Tatra Banka, mBank, 365 Banka, Postova Banka, and J&T Banka are among the Slovakian banks ready to offer Apple’s contactless payment system beginning June 26. Two internet banks, N26 and Monese, are also slated to join in the launch.
On the first day of Apple Pay in Slovakia, up to 9,655 Slovenská Sporitea consumers joined. They performed 12,734 tokenizations in total, meaning that some of them registered additional cards or devices.
The security solution for Apple Pay falls into two sections. Touch IDTM requires you to use your fingerprint to authenticate the transaction. Your account information is also not retained on the device. Instead, Apple Pay assigns a unique Device Account Number to each to ensure no account information can be stolen in the event of a hack or security breach.
How to add a card to Apple Pay on iPhone?
- Open the Wallet Application
- Tap the + button to add a card.
- The application will walk you through the entire process if you follow the instructions.
- Your card has been added and you can start paying with Apple Pay.
