What stores accept Apple Pay UK?

Apple Pay can be used in almost any store that has contactless readers, of which there are 2.6 million in Europe, according to Visa Europe.

Any store with a contactless payment terminal should be able to accept Apple Pay. Look for the Apple Pay logo or the contactless payment symbol.

Apple Pay was launched in the United Kingdom with the promise that it would be available in more locations than it was in the United States, and the list included some big names.

In addition to the 39 Apple Stores in the UK, leading locations for everyday shopping that will accept Apple Pay include Boots UK, Co-op, BP, Costa Coffee, Dune, JD Sports, KFC UK & Ireland, Liberty, LIDL, Marks & Spencer (M&S), McDonald's UK, Nando's, New Look, Post Office, Pret A Manger, SPAR, Starbucks, SUBWAY stores, Wagamama, Waitrose, Screwfix, Wilko, EAT, Costcutter, Five Guys, JD Sports, Dune and New Look.

TfL (Transport for London) also supported Apple Pay at launch, so Londoners could use their iPhone or Apple Watch to pay for Tube and bus rides.

To use Apple Pay, you must first add your credit cards to Passbook. Apple Pay must be supported by your bank or credit card provider. When paying for services, you can use your phone instead of your card for contactless payment. Touch ID can be used to verify payments, eliminating the need for a password or CVC code.
