Google Pay is, indeed, accessible in Germany. Customers in Germany can now use Google Pay, the company’s mobile payment service, by downloading the payment app from the Google Play Store.
To utilize Google Pay, users must be subscribers of one of four banks or service providers: Commerzbank and its online subsidiary Comdirect, the smartphone bank N26, and Wirecard.
Users will also require an Android phone with Near Field Communication (NFC) capability and the Google Pay app.
Google Pay does not impose any extra charges for its usage. The only fees incurred are those levied by your card issuer, which remains consistent whether you use your card directly or through Google Pay.
Google Pay is widely accepted wherever contactless payments are available. To pay, simply unlock your phone and place it near the payment machine. Launching the app is not required, simplifying the process. Additionally, Google Pay offers quick and easy payments within apps and on the web. You can complete transactions with a few clicks instead of manually inputting your payment information.
