Yes, Google Pay is available in India. Today, sending and receiving money online is a common practice in India. Unique features and user interfaces have helped digital wallets step up their game. Google had brought Tez into the league of digital wallets to handle all payments in India. Keeping the ever-growing popularity of Google Pay in mind, it later rebranded the Tez app as Google Pay.
You can use your mobile device to send money to friends and family in India using Google Pay. You’ll need an internet connection, an Indian bank account, and a phone number in India. If they are nearby, you can find them to send money to or search for them by their name.
Google Pay users in India can now use their Android NFC smartphone to make in-store mobile payments directly from their bank account via the country’s Unified Payment Interface (UPI) real-time mobile payments service.
Google Pay supports almost all major bank credit cards, including Axis Bank credit cards, SBI credit cards, Kotak Bank credit cards, HDFC bank credit cards, IndusInd bank credit cards, Federal Bank credit cards, RBL bank credit cards, and HSBC bank credit cards.
Google Pay for Android and IOs supports nine Indian languages - Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kanada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, including the newly introduced Hinglish language.
