PayPal no longer provides refunds for Friends and Family payments. This is due to the fact that PayPal's Purchase Protection Program does not cover these types of payments. You may cancel your payment if it is still pending or if you want a refund. You can also request reimbursement from the seller.
This change may be upsetting for some users, but keep in mind that Friends and Family payments are not the same as standard PayPal transactions. Because PayPal does not cover these payments, it is the sender's responsibility to ensure the recipient is trustworthy. They should, after all, be used for transactions with friends and family.
If you are unsure, it is best to use another payment method.
There are a few options if you prefer to handle the refund request on your own. You can try to prove that the transaction was the result of a hacked account and request a refund from PayPal directly, or you can go through your bank.
