It's important to note that you should never share your CVV number with anyone other than the authorized merchant. Remember to keep your AMEX card in a secure location to prevent unauthorized access to the card and its security code.
Using an AMEX card is different from using a Visa or Mastercard. American Express has security measures in place, and its cards have CVV (Card Verification Value) and CID (Card Identification Data) numbers, which are frequently confused.
When making an online or phone purchase, you may be asked for your CVV. It should be safe if you know the merchant and are not in a public place where you could be overheard on the phone.
