Not all points are created equal, and in my opinion, Amex Membership Rewards points are among the most valuable out there, thanks not only to the program's numerous travel partners, but also to the opportunities for high-value redemptions if you fully leverage the program and take advantage of transfer bonuses and all the partners - and even partners of partners.

Remember that value is subjective, but here are some ways I believe are worthwhile to maximize your Amex points.

Use your points to take care of bills.

Use your 50,000 points to pay your monthly bills and offset your business expenses. A statement credit of £225 can be used to pay for essential utilities such as gas and electricity for your retail spaces or offices.

Invest in new tech for your team.

Redeem 50,000 points for £250 in tech from Amazon or Currys PC World. When you buy a Chromebook 14, you'll get a year of Google One and an extra 100GB of Cloud Storage. Need something more portable? You can exchange your points for a Samsung Galaxy Tab A.

Pay for purchases on our partner sites.
